Pairing Metrics and learning Local data Purchase Report a problem

Pairing and Bluetooth

Keep the strap close

Charge the strap, keep it near your iPhone and make sure it is free to advertise over Bluetooth.

Allow Bluetooth

Open iOS Settings and confirm Atria has Bluetooth permission. Bluetooth must also be turned on.

Disconnect competing apps

If another app owns the active strap connection, close it temporarily and try the Atria scan again.

Restart the path

Exit the connection flow, bring the strap close and retry. If needed, relaunch Atria and restart the strap.

Metrics, learning and unavailable values

Atria intentionally waits for enough local evidence before presenting baseline-dependent metrics. HRV and recovery may show a learning state while it gathers usable nights. A value can also remain unavailable when the strap does not expose a supported signal or signal quality is too low.

Atria shows blockers instead of filling gaps with invented data. A learning or unavailable label is expected behavior, not necessarily a connection failure.

Local data and backups

Your Atria history lives on your iPhone. Atria cannot recover data from a developer cloud because no Atria cloud account exists. Create an export before removing the app or moving to another device if the in-app export option is available in your version.

Optional anonymous research sharing is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, you first inspect a date-shifted bundle that excludes your name, email, device identifiers and calendar dates. You can change the daily preparation time or turn sharing off at any time; turning it off destroys the random code used to label that bundle.

Be careful when sharing an exported file or diagnostic log. It can contain timestamps, heart-rate samples, device names and sleep or workout patterns.

Purchase and App Store help

Atria is a one-time App Store purchase. Apple handles payment, receipts, family sharing availability, refunds and purchase restoration. If the App Store does not recognize a purchase, confirm you are signed into the Apple ID used to buy Atria and use Apple's purchase-support options.

Report a problem

Message @adidshaft on X or open an issue in the project tracker. Include:

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version.
  • Your Atria version and compatible strap model.
  • What you tapped, what happened and what you expected.
  • Whether the issue repeats after relaunching Atria.

Do not email unredacted health exports, signing credentials or device identifiers unless support specifically requests the minimum information needed.
